David, King of Israel

King David's story, a glimpse into ancient Israelite leadership.

A dramatic painting showcasing three distinct figures. On the left, a young David is depicted, muscular and with a fair complexion. His curly auburn hair frames his focused face, and he appears to have just engaged in battle, with his upper body exposed. Centered below him is the lifeless and bloodied head of Goliath, identifiable by his dark hair, mustache, and a wound on his forehead. To the right, an older King David is portrayed, his eyes raised as if in reflection or prayer. He dons a golden crown and his face is characterized by a long white beard and deep-set eyes. His royal blue and gold attire hint at his regal status. He is playing the harp.
