Egypt and the Bronze Age Collapse

Throughout history Egypt faced many enemies and struggles. Few however, can compare to the apocalypse of the Bronze Age Collapse.

The image is a composite that creatively blends a photograph of Medinet Habu, the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III in Luxor, Egypt, with illustrations that evoke the Battle of the Delta around 1175 BC. This battle was a crucial part of Egypt's defense against the Sea Peoples during the reign of Ramesses III. The temple serves as the backdrop, showcasing detailed hieroglyphic carvings on its ancient walls. Superimposed on this backdrop are white line illustrations that recall the dynamic scenes of Egyptian military encounters, typical of the art style found in Ramesses III's temple commemorating his victories. At the bottom of the image, flames have been digitally inserted, perhaps as a metaphor for the conflict or the dramatic impact of the Sea Peoples on the Bronze Age civilizations and the Bronze Age Collapse.
